The Limelight is a flashlamp procedure that uses light in the visible spectrum to draw the damaged spots to the surface of the skin. As the dark spots rise to the surface, they will appear worse until, through exfoliation, they flake off. When they flake off, fresh undamaged skin is revealed! Limelight procedures are usually used in conjunction with Microdermabrasion to remove and reduce the appearance of damaged skin. Package and individual treatment pricing is available. 

 Laser Genesis:

Genesis is designed to penetrate the skin and stimulate the production of fibroblasts, which mature into collagen fibers. Genesis will also kill acne causing bacteria and reduce new breakouts, while also smoothing out all that old scarring. This treatment can be combined with a Microdermabrasion before your treatment which will remove the dead cells from your skin's surface to allow the laser greater penetration. Before your first treatment, it is best to come in for a complimentary consultation with our laser tech and let her direct your choice of treatment. Some of the treatments abilities overlap and one may be better than another for your concerns. 

Due to new Illinois law, all new laser clients must see the medical director to be cleared for treatment before being turned over to the rest of the Spa Rinnovi staff. All new clients will fill out paperwork including a medical history form for safety reasons, as medication and previous medical treatments can interfere with your treatments if unknown.

Laser Hair Reduction uses intense pulsed light to target the base of the follicle and destroy the cells that grow hair. Because the laser is attracted to the dark pigment, it can only "find" the hair that has a darker color than that of your skin. This is why blond hair will not treat.  The greater the contrast between your skin and hair color, the better your results will be. This is why we recommend you do not have treatments while tanning, whether in a bed or outside.

The hair must be in the follicle for the laser to find it. Waxing and tweezing must be stopped a few weeks prior to beginning laser treatments. You do, however, want to shave before your visits. Since the laser targets the darkness of the hair, it is best for the extra length to be shaved off so the full energy of the laser can target the root of the hair, where it does the most good.

Before you begin your treatments, you should know that NO laser system currently on the market can permanently remove 100% of the hair. What it can do is permanent reduction of the hair. You should expect up to 90% removal. Most individuals see great results and are very happy at the conclusion of their treatments.

You should also know that Laser Hair Reduction can be uncomfortable, but is very tolerable. If you don't feel something, it is because it's not doing anything.
